 Meet Patrick Galloway

Patrick Galloway, founder of Dare To Survive, has been for the past 26 years in the forefront of reaching out to and touching lives of people who have been impacted by abuses and addictions, perpetrators or victims alike. Patrick was a victim of childhood sexual abuse, an alcoholic, a gambler, and a pimp. After many years of running from the pain of his childhood abuse, he decided to accept and deal with it. His dedication to teaching and helping others deal with their life issues motivated him to start the organization Dare To Survive. His personal experiences not only bestows him with a keen and unique insight into the nature of abuse and its effects on individuals but also gives him the power to reach deep into the heart of those who are suffering silently or violently in pain.

Patrick designed and wrote specialized workbooks for the victim and offender groups. Each workbook contains sections and lessons which lead the client through a series of therapeutic methods. The workbooks keep the therapeutic process in focus and enable the clients to express themselves on paper when it may be difficult by verbal means. Patrick has worked with individuals, the government, churches, schools and private organizations, through individual consultation, conferences, seminars and group support. He was invited three times to speak and teach in Korea and had made tremendous impact abroad. The topics of interest are family/marital problems, relationship issues, depression, stress, anxiety, abuses, anger/power control issues.

Patrick and Ellen Galloway have been happily married for 34 years and presently live in the city of Stone Mountain, Georgia. Patrick has four adult children, three of them from his previous marriage, and has seven grandchildren. Patrick is a member of Lilburn Christian Church. To give back to the community, Patrick conducts a weekly support group for people who are interested in personal growth through dealing with all different issues in their lives.
